Dacia J. Cenat practices civil litigation with an emphasis in business litigation. Dacia joined Carroll & Associates, PC as an associate attorney in June 2023. For the seven years prior to joining Carroll & Associates, Dacia worked as an associate attorney for a boutique law firm in Roseville that specialized in professional malpractice defense and business litigation. Before that, Dacia worked for another business litigation law firm in Sacramento, and she completed internships with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, the Placer County Public Defender’s Office, and the Florida Senate.
Dacia earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in May 2015. She graduated with distinction and was admitted to the Roger J. Traynor Honor Society. While at McGeorge, Dacia served as a comment staff writer, legislation staff writer, and primary editor for the McGeorge Law Review. Dacia received Witkin Awards for earning the highest grade in the subjects of Legal Research and Writing and Juvenile Law.
Prior to attending law school, Dacia earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida. She graduated summa cum laude in 2010, majoring in political science with an emphasis in pre-law and minoring in legal studies and Spanish.
